Who better to talk to this week, in the aftermath of the floods in NSW, than international emergency expert Greg Mullins?

Greg was a vocal critic of the way the government handled the bushfire emergency before, during and after. Now we are seeing the same lack of preparation play out in people’s lives again with tragic and long-reaching consequences for the economy of towns like Lismore and Windsor.

Greg Mullins is a highly respected international disaster response strategist, who is particularly interested in the connection between climate change and extreme weather events.

He is a former Commissioner of Fire and Rescue NSW and currently Chair of NSW Ambulance Service advisory board.

He has worked with bushfire authorities in the USA, Canada, Spain and France.

Greg is a councillor on the Climate Council and continues to work as a volunteer firefighter in his community.
